Main responsibilities
  • Ownership of intercompany recharges process
  • Postings in General Ledger
  • Master data maintenance
  • Reconciliation of market owned accounts based on the GL Ownership Matrix
  • Support on monthly closing of books, according to IFRS and Statutory process
  • Customer A&P and Country Overheads support to Market.
  • Monthly Intercompany payments process
  • Calculation of monthly tax obligations (VAT, Intrastat, Listing, Withholding Taxes)
  • Provide audit support, for internal and external audits (tax, statutory, internal compliance)
  • Reconciliations of monthly excise duties. Effective collaboration with customs agent for excise duty related issues
  • List of contracts submission to tax authorities
  • Using system outputs to meet basic job requirements and applies basic tests for reasonability and accuracy

What we’re looking for:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Master’s Degree in Finance or other Business related fields
  • Knowledge of accounting processes
  • Knowledge of local taxation
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in an accounting department of a multinational corporate environment or an audit firm, with in depth exposure to SAP preferred.
  • Flexibility and strong communication skills 
  • Good understanding of fiscal and statutory reporting issues
  • Ability to identify business opportunities and contribute to the practice through proactive interactions
  • Ability to articulate system issues clearly to ensure solutions can be identified and implemented
  • Understanding of basic balance sheet & P&L levers & relationships to enable balance sheet forecasting & management
  • Undertaking basic risk assessment based on available data within own area of expertise
  • Internal controls awareness
  • MS applications knowledge
  • SAP knowledge will be desirable
  • Very good Greek and English skills
