Περιγραφή

Kariera.gr on behalf of its client, is seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to work at Munich or remotely for a global company which purpose is to enable businesses’ digital needs by using innovative ways. The solutions they offer vary from Big Data, DevOps and Software Defined Data Centers to infrastructure and application management, cloud infrastructure enablement and application development platforms. In advance, they support innovative software vendors in their virtualization automation, application hosting and cloud migration efforts.

Your role and responsibilities:


Within Service Operations as Data Staging Expert you will be responsible for the whole lifecycle of a complex customer environment from your specific technologies perspective. You will work with System Engineers from other technological areas as required in order to integrate the different technologies components you are responsible for into even most complex customer environment.

 

Activities you are expected to perform:

 

  • Support internal / external projects
Provide technical consultancy
Manage technical requirements
Develop design and estimate efforts
  • Design, plan and build of new environments
Own the design, plan and build activities around your technologies-specific components within customer and internal environments
Manage documentations and CMDB
Manage high-availability or disaster-recovery
Install and configure other resources as required
Install and configure customer applications as required
Install and configure tools required to manage your technologies
Perform final testing and hand-over of your technologies into operations
  • Operate existing environments
Collaborate with each team for the related environment
Ensure compliancy by regularly patching and hardening environments
Perform proactive monitoring and maintenance on environments
Perform ITIL processes (change, incident, problem)
Implement and test backup and recovery services
Perform capacity and performance management
Perform On-Call duties periodically
  • Develop and support services and products
Support the definition and implementation of standards (i.e. security)
Support the development and improvement of processes & tools

Απαιτήσεις

The requirements for this position are:



  • BSc in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
  • Profound working experience of the following technologies

Proxmox

pfSense

Chef

Puppet

Additional skill (not essential for the specific position): Qlik Sense, Vagrant & Virtual Box

  • Ability to work across boundaries in a very demanding environment
  • Good customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Good understanding of infrastructure, architecture and design
  • Strong analytical skills and creative thinking abilities
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Pro-active, adaptable, and result-driven approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks for efficient work output
  • Ability to create / use scripts (i.e. Javascript, Perl, Shell, Python)
  • Ability to apply automation concepts and tools (i.e. Ansible, Docker)
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written
